The arriving domestic flyers enter through the western end of the terminal and the international flyers are directed through the eastern end of the terminal. However, the airport has only one terminal that caters to both arrivals and departures. The aerodrome connects more than 32 destinations with its network of 12 airlines across the regions of Canada, Europe, Mexico, the United States and the Caribbean. The airfield reached the eleventh position across Canada among busiest airports after its passenger count exceeded 1.5 million in 2017. The airport came into existence in the year 1939 but got its name Quebec City Jean Lesage Airport after the name of former Prime Minister Jean Lesage in 1993. The airport is situated 6 nautical miles away from the west-southwest side of the downtown. The Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport belongs to the Canadian City of Quebec.
